Feeling generous, ACTG have put up two game days this weekend. Last night saw the Centurions and Gungahlin Wildcats kick off the 2014 ACT Gridiron senior men’s season at the University of Canberra. What was a cold, crisp evening soon led to a victory win for the Cents defeating the ‘Cats 22-14.
A beautiful winter’s day had the Woden Valley Gladiators and UC Firebirds hit the gridiron green for the second men’s game at Griffith Oval. The new location was a little tougher than our usual grounds at Greenway. But the teams brought their game faces and played hard.
Wrapping up the first round of games for the season, Central Spears took out the Charity Bowl for another year after defeating the Tuggeranong Tornadoes 50-2 with a special mention to an epic run by the Tornadoes’ Gouldy putting the only points on the board for the team.
